FAQs
Common questions
How much does drain cleaning and hydrojetting cost in Scottsdale?
A standard drain cleaning (snake/auger) for a kitchen, bath or laundry line in Scottsdale runs $150–$350. Main sewer line snaking from a cleanout runs $250–$500. Hydrojetting starts around $450 and runs $600–$1,200 for a full main line jetting with grease, scale or root removal. Sewer camera inspection adds $150–$300 and is often credited toward the work.
What's the difference between drain cleaning and hydrojetting?
A standard drain cleaning uses a cable/snake to punch a hole through the clog so water flows again. Hydrojetting uses 3,000–4,000 PSI water through a specialty nozzle to scour the inside of the pipe wall — removing grease, scale, soap, sludge and tree roots. Snaking gets it flowing; hydrojetting actually cleans the pipe.
When should I choose hydrojetting over a regular snake?
Choose hydrojetting for: recurring clogs, slow main lines, kitchen lines coated with grease, older Scottsdale homes with cast iron, or any line where a camera shows roots, scale or buildup. For a one-off hair or paper clog, a snake is the cheaper right tool.
Do you offer same-day drain cleaning in Scottsdale?
Yes. Backed-up drains and sewage in the home are emergencies — we dispatch the same day across Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Fountain Hills and the rest of the Valley. Call (623) 323-4538.
Will hydrojetting damage my pipes?
No — when done by a licensed plumber. We camera-inspect first, set the right PSI for the line material (PVC, ABS, cast iron, clay), and use the correct nozzle. Hydrojetting is actually gentler than chemical cleaners on aging pipes.
Why does my drain keep clogging?
Recurring clogs almost always mean there's something deeper than a hair ball — grease layered in the kitchen line, scale narrowing an old cast iron line, tree roots through a joint, or a partial collapse. We run a camera, find the cause, and recommend the right fix instead of just snaking it again.
Should I use Drano or store-bought drain cleaner first?
We don't recommend it. Liquid drain cleaners can damage older pipes, harm the environment, and rarely solve the underlying problem — they just delay the call. They also make our job harder (and more expensive) when the chemicals come back up the snake.
Do you do sewer camera inspections in Scottsdale?
Yes — full color sewer camera inspections, including pre-purchase scopes for home buyers, post-hydrojetting verification, and locating broken or offset pipe sections. You'll get the footage with your invoice.
