LeakSecure Smart Leak Detection & Auto Shut-Off — our honest take
LeakSecure® is a whole-home leak detection and automatic water shut-off system we install on the main line. It learns your home's normal water usage, flags abnormal flow, and closes the valve automatically — protecting Scottsdale homes from the catastrophic damage of a burst supply line, slab leak, or running toilet while you're away. Controlled from anywhere through the Qwel app on iOS and Android.
- A single catastrophic supply-line break can cause $30k+ in Scottsdale drywall, flooring and cabinet damage — this device pays for itself the first time
- Smart learning means fewer false shut-offs than basic flow-meter alarms
- App control is genuinely useful — shut the water off from the airport, not just when you're home
- Clean inline install on the main; we don't have to touch each fixture
- Pairs naturally with our Navien tankless, Encore softener, and Waterdrop RO installs to protect the whole water system

FAQs
Common questions
Do I really need a smart leak detector in Scottsdale?
If you travel, own a second home, have a finished garage or upstairs laundry, or you've ever had a toilet supply line or washing-machine hose let go — yes. Insurance data consistently shows water damage is the #1 home insurance claim, and a burst 1/2″ supply line can dump hundreds of gallons an hour. LeakSecure stops it in seconds.
Where does the LeakSecure device get installed?
Inline on the main water line, typically right after the meter or at the garage / utility-room entry point. We coordinate the cut-in, mount the unit, plug in the low-voltage power, and walk you through pairing it to the Qwel app before we leave.
Will it shut my water off in the middle of a long shower or while filling the pool?
No — that's what the learning mode and Home/Away profiles are for. You set the thresholds (or let the system learn them), and you can override or whitelist activities like pool fills directly from the app. Away mode is much tighter than Home mode.
How much does LeakSecure cost installed in Scottsdale?
Most Scottsdale LeakSecure installs run $1,400–$2,200 fully supplied and installed on the main, including the cut-in, mounting, power, and app pairing. Far less than a single water-damage claim deductible.
Does it work if my Wi-Fi or power goes out?
The shut-off logic runs locally on the device, so it will still detect abnormal flow and close the valve without internet. Remote app control and alerts come back automatically when Wi-Fi is restored. Battery backup ensures the valve can actuate during a brief power loss.
